Walton Heath hosts some high profile tournaments each year, notably Walton Heath is a venue for US Open qualifying as well as providing the challenge for the South of England Open Amateur Championship. In 2011, we hosted The Senior Open Championship which brought back to Walton Heath many of the 1981 Ryder Cup team. In 2012, the Brabazon Trophy was held between 28th June and 1st July7 and was won by Neil Raymond.
Michael Campbell (2005) qualified for the US Open from the Walton Heath pool, then went on to win the Championship.
The South of England Open Amateur Championship each year attracts a top-class field of amateur golfers from across the world. The competition takes place over both the Old and New courses and consists of four rounds of golf with a cut after 36 holes. 2007 winner, Daniel Willett has gone on to win the Masters in 2016.
